Pirates Bay Water Park
The Pirates Bay Water Park offers a number of slides and pools that is a sure way to have fun for all ages. The water park has a four-lane Mat Racer waterslide and a Colorado Drop Slide. Additionally, patrons can also enjoy the sun while floating on the amazing �lazy liver.’ Amazingly, the Pirates Bay Water Park also has a children’s center that has a selection of water slides, spray nozzles, and water guns.
Baytown’s Nature Center
With over 300 bird species, butterflies and aquatic life, Baytown’s Nature Center is the perfect place for those who appreciate nature. The numerous pavilions each with a grill makes it a perfect place for picnics. Additionally, with a license, you can go fishing in the nature center.
The Nature Center is opened every day and is only closed during Christmas. The Center was designed by the American Bird Conservancy and is recognized as an official site on the Great Texas Birding Trail.
Royal Purple Raceway
The Royal Purple Raceway is a 0.4 km drag-strip in Baytown. Built in 1988, the Raceway remains the only Houston’s major venue for motorsports activities. The Royal Purple Raceway is home to Frank Hawley’s Racing School, where the former NHRA champion teaches about drag racing. The Raceway host a Legal Street Race every Friday and you can race against your friends for $20. Admission to the Raceway costs $10 and free for children below the age of 12.
